Just noticed this! OH NO....

I just took my truck around the block after putting the reverse eye springs on the truck. It lowered the front about 1 inch total. The truck sits very nicely, but I looked under at the suspension and now it appears there is no clearance between the bumper and top of the spring. It's basically sitting on the frame. I noticed the suspension was a little stiff on bumps but not very noticable from the way it drove before. Will this cause any damage leaving it like this? I have another leaf I can add to the leaf pack, but the reverse eyes really brought the leafs close to the frame. Really need advice here. I was excited about the install but now feeling awful and confused not to mention sorry I exchanged the springs????

Yes, it's been my experience that it'll cause damage if you leave it set-up in that fashion.

Just a thought. Eaton spring sells [ I am sure others do also] an overload bump stop. It is a bellowed rubber device that has little effect on slight movement but progressively absorbs the load. Hope that makes sense. We have used the same type of deal for our one ton trucks at work to increase load capacity. They do work. I have them on the rear of my F100 although i have not got it low enough yet to hit them. Joe
