spark prob.
I have an 85 f150 351w carb. I've lost spark a couple times and cant find the cause. It's not a constant problem so its hard to diag. It's running now but I don't know for how long. So far i replaced the Ign. Mod, on the dist, and the coil. Replacing the module got it running, but it died a couple days later. It died one time and melted my coil when the ign was on, smoke was pouring out of the coil, so i don't think its a loose wire. Anything you can suggest would help, because I would like to take it on a long drive but im afraid it will die on me.

Found the problem. One of the wires out of the ign mod was grounding out about a foot back from the module. I bumped the harness when i was adjusting the carb and saw a flash, then the truck died. I unwrapped the harness and found one of the wires was bare and grounding out on the valve cover. I wrapped it up with tape and it's done good so far.
