2 Guages and No Lights!

Ok, when I first got my '72 F100, I removed the instrument panel before painting the interior. I noticed first, though, it lit up but there were a couple bulbs out so I replaced them while the panel was out. I put everything back after and noticed that the 2 guages on the right (temp & oil press) did not work, and there were now no dash lights. I don't know if the guages ever worked, but the dash lights did. Well I finally got around to looking at it and could not figuire it out. The Left guages (ammeter & fuel level) work, and the bulbs in the panel light individually. I quadruple checked a good connection from the harness to the panel and checked the light rotory switch. Could I have connected something else back behind the dash improperly that could have caused this?

i just got finished doin the same thing to my 1970 f100. I didnt take out the whole panel thought, just the cover and left it plugged up. I also changed my lights and they all come back on. Is what probably happened is the printed circuits have been broken when you pulled out the plug

hey blast, i had the same problem w/ my '72. i pulled the gauges out a second time and noticed that some of those the little tabs on the circuit board ( where the main plug goes ) had worked thier way loose. i carefully put them back in place w/ a tiny drop of glue. it's been working fine ever since
