I put over 450 miles on my 06 STX 4x4 over the weekend on a trip to CT and back plus driving while down there. I got 20.7 mpg and am more than happy with that!
I know that this included a lot of interstate driving, but I'll take it.
I get 12.5-14.2 during city driving..Mostly 12.5MPG..........I have a K&N air filter, Flowmaster 40 series, and a tonneau cover...Maybe the Edge is wrong?

You must have the 5.4? Most 5.4 owners get around 12-13 while the 4.6 gets in the 18-20 range.
It's unfortunate that so many have purchased the gas guzzling 5.4s for an extra $900 and 6-7 less MPGs. The 50 or so extra HP isn't really worth it when you weigh everything out.
Oh well, live and learn I guess.

Getting 16 MPG with a very very light throttle and speeds never above 65mph. MPG will easily drop to single digits when accelerating mopre aggresive from stop lights and exceeding 2000 rpm on the e-way.

I tow a 30', 6000 lb travel trailer, and the extra HP the 5.4L has really makes a difference. So when I weigh everything out, the extra money was well worth it. Also, my mileage is in the 14-15 mpg range in mixed driving, 9-9.5 towing at 65 mph, OD off, cruise on.

I have an '06 s-crew 4x4 6.5' bed with the 5.4 and 3.73 rear end and I get around 18 mpg on the highway @ 70 mph. Mixed driving I see 14-16 mpg.
BTW - my 5.4L and LS diff were free with the tow & go discount.
My edge tuner is currently reading 16.2mpg. Those are all 'around town' miles. Sean, we've been over this. It is too bad you do not believe what your fellow users write. They have nothing to gain by lying. Please drop the constant insinuation of such.
