im finally done and it runs. got it all buttoned up last night about 2. im glad i dont have much work today cause im tired as hell. it only took about 30 seconds to fire up after i primed the oil. would have it runing earlier but i had a major fuel leak on the drivers side front fuel line, ya know the hardest one to get to imagine that. that sucked had to pull off the ps pump, alternator bracket to get to it. let it run around 1600 rpm for about an hour and took it around the block once. the sound from the turbo is unbelieveable out of my cannon. i cant believe i had no problems other than the fuel leak. i thought i would have forgot something like to plug in a sensor or something but nope. i had the bigest grin on my face when it first fired up. im gonna try to put a few hundred miles on it before thursday night and then change the oil. cause im goin back home to nebraska for the weekend. the best news of all is that there is not one nut bolt screw or part left over. cant wait till i get off to go drive it.
the lube tech at work needed a oil filter from napa for a honda, so instead of him waiting for delivery i volenteered to go get it for him. i love it it feels like i got a new truck!
so after work i was driving up to bloomington for dinner (usually i hate driving up there not this time) and i heard a very loud pop. i the first thing i did was shut her off and pull to the side. by this time my heart is beatin a mile a minute, and theres a million things running through my mind what could have happened. opened the hood everything looked normal, smelled normal. checked the oil its fine, trannys fine no leaks anywhere. shut the hood opened the door of the truck and the cab was filled with smoke. that freaked me out a little bit, after looking for a source luckly i saw it was my amp(i still dont feel very lucky though it was a audiobahn and wasnt very cheap). so i popped the hood again and pulled the fuse. it scared the hell out of me for a second i thought i blew it up. then on the way home my truck just shut off engine died but still had everything else. heard no bad noises no nothing. hooked up my evo (all its good for now is a code reader) and it said communication error. checked the pcm hookup its fine checked the connector at the engine it fine. i just happened to look at my chip pushed on it checked the evo and it fixed my problem. i forgot to tape it to the pcm case. this was the first major engine work ive done other than smallblocks and gas engines, but nothing this expensive or complicated. every little sound has me worrying and everything that might go wrong is always ruinning through my head. but its good for now so ill be happy. after thinking about it it was alot easier than i thought

Congratulation on tackling a job like this. I think most of us would feel your anxiety after finishing a project like that. If something goes wrong, I have heard it is within the first 100 miles (mostly first crankup) so sit back and feel proud about a job well done. Here's to you and many more happy miles on your PSD...
