Fuel filter bowl

This past weekend I installed a new fuel filter on my 02. The drain line was blocked so I blew some low pressure compressed air from below and it cleared the line but also left some of the debris in the filter bowl. To clean the bowl I needed to remove the fuel heater. When I removed the heater the center post came out. I was careful putting it all back together. Does anyone have a procedure or diagram for removing and installing the heater and center post. The center post has a spring and O ring and another part up inside. Want to make sure I put it all back correctly.

I was also wondering how the fuel heater works? Is it on all the time or controlled by temperture?

The dealer might have a diagram, if someone doesn't have it here.

The fuel heater is controlled by temperature. Not sure though if it's just ambient temp, or related to coolant and/or oil temp as well.
