Need bed

My nephew has a 1978 F-250 ranger with a long bed. I was wondering what years i could use to replace this.

77-79 have the gas doors. 73-76 will fit but use a large gas cap instead of the opening door.

Good beds are hard to find cheap. You could always go with a flat bed.

3500 for a glass bed is cheaper??? ive seen nice beds for $1000 and you can get them for under 600 if you want to take a ride to texas or somewhere down there. i understand the benefits of glass, but thats awefully steep in my book, even building one from all new parts.

actually i think i priced one from all new parts from LMC Truck and it was about the same price. but i see your point with the price. i wouldnt mind gettin one of the glass beds but u have to drive to florida to pick it up cuz they dont want to ship it due to possible damage...seein those fiberglass parts make me want to build an entire truck outta it and prolly weigh under a ton and drag race it
