4-speed conversion parts??
Hi all,
I'm going to convert my '79 F-100 2WD from Auto to 4-Speed. I checked the classifieds and didn't find much. I'm looking for flywheel, bellhousing, clutch pedals, linkage, z-bar etc. Does anyone know a good place to check for these parts? I've been coming up blank. Thanks for any help!

Yup, wrecking yard is your best bet. Where is Clarence USA? I know at the PickNpull Wrecking Yard out here in Western Nevada, there are a few mid 70's trucks passing through to the crusher fairly regularly. 
I'm sure that will eventually dry up some day.
It's sad to see them all on their way to the scrap heep but that's the way it goes. There are manual trans in some of them too. The best way, though, would be to find a donor/parts truck in the paper. That way you would have all the parts you need to do the swap and wouldn't need to go hunting for little things like a stupid bolt or something.
