Hour Meter Resetable?

Hour Meter Resetable?
My 05 F350 Lariat has the hour meter in the instrument panel, I was reading the manual the other day and I'm thinking it said the hour meter was resetable, I tried it and it doesn't seem to reset. Has anyone tried this and does it reset?

The manual does say it resets. Mine doesn't. Engine time is helpful and there is little point in not being able to reset it on a moving vehicle. My Audi Allroad has one also and it resets. I've asked the dealer to look into this--he didn't know. '06 F-250SD 6lTD, LariatCrewcab
