DO YOU GET ANY RUBBING WITHT THE 35'S? I AM GOING TO PUT THE 3 INCH SKYJACKER AND I WAS GOING TO PUT THE 285'S BFG AT KO, BUT NOW I MAY PUT ONE SIZE LARGER. HOPEFULLY BFG COMES OUT WITH THE 305 SOON.

It's been good so far. I just got the leveling kit put in on Friday, so now I can take it off-road and see what it's like. I had a slight rub at full turn backing into my driveway, but that was before the leveling kit. I drove it for a week without the kit in. We also pulled the inner fender well back by drilling a hole through it and the body mount bracket and put a self tapping screw in to pull the well back. The inner well rubbed bad before doing that. If you put a lift on you should have tons of room.

btech99,
Those look really good on the truck. Did you install the leveling kit yourself?
I had almost the same truck in a 2004 but spent the last year fighting for a buyback so I was never able to do any mods to it due to warranty. I finally got them to take it back and picked up a Mark LT to replace it so it's time to start modifying it.

No, I didn't do the install myself. I had the price of the tires and the leveling kit added at the dealer. The tires went on the day I picked it up, but they had to order the leveling kit. I went with the Daystar 2 1/2 inch kit. Only problem is, now that I have some tools etc. in the truck for work...the rear sits about an inch lower than the front. Trying to decide whether to get some aribags for the back or an add a leaf. Any suggestions?

SELL THE LEVELING KIT AND INSTALL THE 3 INCH SKYJACKER SUSPENSION LIFT. CHECK OUT MY GALLERY, I JUST INSTALLED THIS WITH BFG 285-65-18 AT KO'S AND ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT. RIDES GREAT AND YOU WILL NOT HAVE THE BACK SITTING LOWER THAN THE FRONT.

From where did you get this lift?
How much was it?
Do you have a part or kit number?

This is the response I got trying to find out if BFG was going to make the KO in any other sizes. This message is from 5-3-06.

Thank you for visiting our Web site and sending us your e-mail.

In response to your message: Are ther any plans to make the All Terrian KO
in sizes bigger than 285 for an 18 inch wheel? I would like to get
something in the 35X12.5 range and have had many BFG tires in the past and
always loved them. I am very disappointed to see that you do not make
anything other than a 285 for an 18 inch wheel.

The BFGoodrich All-Terrain KO is manufactured in the size LT285/65R18, LRD,
part number 95290 and will be producing a LRE, part number 67553, in
September, 2006.

If you have additional questions, please respond to this email or you may
call us at 1-877-788-8899 (toll-free) between 8:30AM and 6:00PM Eastern Time
Monday through Friday to allow one of our Consumer Relations Representatives
to assist you.

I GOT THIS LIFT FROM MY BUDDY'S TRUCK ACCESSORY SHOP (RESTYLERS) FOR $525.00 THE KIT COMES WITH THE COIL OVERS FOR THE FRONT AND THE ADD A LEAF FOR THE REAR. I ADDITIONALY BOUGHT REPLACEMENT SKYJACKER SHOCKS FOR THE REAR. VERY NICE RIDE. THE PICS DO NOT DO IT JUSTICE, I WILL TRY AND POST SOME BETTER ONES SOON. AS FAR A PART NUMBERS, GO TO SKYJACKER.COM AND SEARCH UNDER FORD.

I'm running 33's on my stock 18" FX4 wheels with the 2" Autospring and I haven't had any issues with this setup. I just ordered the Skyjacker 1.5" AAL to bring the rear up some more. I don't like the nose up look when I pull my trailer around.

There are more pics in my gallery if you would like to check them out.

I am surprised that anyone would modify a brand new truck in this way. Hopefully, you won't need any warranty work done while you own it because you just may be out of luck.

I would defineitely recommend airbags. I have them on my truck along with a 2-inch autospring levelling kit. You can see in my gallery what the truck looked like with just the levelling kit and with the kit and airbags. I think it improves the look if you can raise the rear end up just a bit. Plus, you can run any load up to your max payload without squatting the back end at all. The truck handles much better under load with the airbags. I haul an aircompressor and some framing tools around in the back daily, so I run about 20 psi in the bags all the time. When I throw in an ATV or hook onto a heavy trailer, I'll pump them up to about 60 psi to get the right look.

By the way, I ran 325/60R18 Toyos on my stock 18" wheels for a long time. They were a bit wide for that wheel, but I didn't have any problems. In fact, I have more rubbing issues now since I've gone to an 18x9 wheel with more negative offset than I did with the stock wheel setup.

What brand, size and model are those 33s? They look sharp.
