5" straight pipe

Is a 5" exhaust overkill for only module/tuner modifications? I was thinking about the 4" and 5" straight pipes and wondered if 5" is necessary. I won't be drag racing but you guys know how it goes...I'll add a tuner, maybe a module. Would the 5" be detrimental with that 'little' power level or would it be better to start with the bigger system that could handle more mods?

A 5' system wouldnt really be overkill if your planning on much bigger mods. Its really depends what your looking for. Sound ,Performance or Looks. Personally i feel when it comes to performance a 4' system is just as good as a 5.

I am looking more for performance and the system I was looking into doesn't look like I could swap a cat in on occaison and was aluminized and no stainless option yet...so I eliminated the thouht of a 5" as of now. 4" should work fine. I'd hate to have a part I've already upgraded hold me back though.

IMO MBRP is the best. Hey its just my opinion though. I dont know what your budget is but the cool duals turbo back are the nice sounding exhaust ive heard on a truck and performance is great. My friends dad has one and all i can say is wow. It whistles like no other truck ive ever heard. The nice thing about the mbrp system is you can buy the turboback system and they have an option for a test pipe with the kit. If you get the test pipe and you find out u gotta go into the dealership you can just pop the test pipe off and put the stock cat back on
