hello everyone, i want to start a new project. i love drag racing and i want to build a 67 - 72 stlye ford truck for street and strip fun.
ive got pretty good experience with the 5.4 modular engine so i probably will be using that motor. im gonna probably have a thousand questions by the time i am done.
first question is,,,how much does a short bed truck weight?
second question,,, has anyone on this forum used the fiberglass body for these trucks?

The weight on these trucks vary a bit at times according to how they are equipped. To get your weight you could go to a truck stop and get weighed for around ten bucks or you could haul a load to your local landfill or junkyard.
My uneducated guess between 3800 and 4200 pounds. My longbed weighs around the higher number and it is basically a plain jane truck. I do have a couple hundred pounds in my toolbox though. I have no experience with the fiberglass. I think you would shed alot of weight with the fiberglass though.
