10/4. Well, we almost had something going. Maybe next time.
Next month, March saturday 13th, The high school marching band will hosting thier annual All U Can et Seafood supper night. We will bw bring fresh shrimp from the gulf of mexico, Gonna fry some, throw some into jambalaya, Fry some catfish. I will have the honor of catfish cook fore the night.

Can't believe this- all day I've been expecting the heavy rains that the NOAA office claims and there's been nothing but high winds and a few sprinkles.
I feel like a chump.
And they still have a bulletin up about heavy rain and t-storms through tommorow...

Well,
We decided this morning to go ahead and go to paris as we promised to take the kids somewhere this weekend. Had a good time in Paris. Catfish was good. Kids had a blast riding the carniaval rides. There were a few sprinkles here and there but nothing to speak of. We left at about 3:30 pm. when it started to rain a little steadier. We didn't get there till about 11:30 so we missed the parade and catfish race (didn,t find out where it was till after it started). The only thing i could bitch about (well 2 things) The catfish was whole not fillets so had to deal with bones (gotten spoiled i guess) and they are having a heated election this year and all the candidates had sign plastered everywhere.. But, other than that, went pretty well.
