Quick Towing Hitch question

I am very new to this ...

I have a 03 FX4 F150, tow package, all stock. There are no plans to lift it or anything like that.

What type of ball/hitch do I need so that I can tow a load levl? I see hitch with 2" drop, 3" drop etc ... Which one do I need?

Thanks!
Anthony

The exact amount of drop in your hitch depends on the trailer that you plan to tow.

I would guess that a 2" drop would be about right for most uses.

2inch sounds about right, but make sure that your trailer is level when you are towing it.

Most, however that changed with the load of the trailer, tire size, axle placement etc. My utlity trailer and our camping trailer are not the same height. Its best to measure it out and make your best guess depending on what trailer you are using.
