Turbo spool down or??????
...I have a 05 PSD with a Banks Six Gun. Just ran it in level (5) fairly hard for 5-or 10 seconds then pulled toward my driveway. Put the truck in reverse and over the sound of the engine with the radio on & with the windows up, I heard this fairly loud "rushing air" sound. This sound started in less than a minute after getting off the throttle. At first I thought I popped a tire, that is how hard the air sounded, or it sounded like an air compressor hose without a nozzle on the end of it blowing freely. It lasted maybe 15 or 20 seconds then stopped. No overflowed coolant or anything abnormal under the hood that I could see. Took the truck out and drove again..normal boost, temps, acceleration and all. Any ideas what it could have been?

That's the fan kicking on. First time I heard it going up the Grapevine I thought I grenaded the engine. Your PSD got warm and the fan is thermostatically controlled so it came on to cool it off.
