I'm confused!!!!

I was looking on line for brake parts for my 83 F 150 extended cab, 2wd w/8' bed and found a something confusing. How do I know if my truck is 4600 GVW or 5100 GVW? I can't check on the parts until I find out that piece of info. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

look at the vin number sticker on the drivers side door jamb. itll tell you everything you need to know.

no problem. and if you get real motivated call up ford and give them your VIN number nad they can send you a build sheet that tells you everything you need to know about your truck.
