I'm running full length Hedman hedders on my 300. love em.the six has so much low end torque who would notice if some of it was redirected to the mid range. Mine is modified to an estimated 300hp and 300ft-lbs peak in the mid range(2500-3200rpm). runs good. I get 15 mpg on the freeway running about 85mph. also running 3.54gears and 35" mud tires. Mine is not fuel injected. sometimes wish it was. the 300 is a great engine. Not sure why anyone would hate headers, know plenty of people who bad mouth them though. If I could find some at a reasonable price I'd put em on my wife's Explorer 4.0
Love my S/S Borla 2-into-2 headers, wouldn't have anything else.
Mine is built to the Hilt & does 400fpt @ 3200rpm & 300hp @ 4600rpm, the "Wee Beastie" does 24mpg running @ 55mph, 17mpg @ 65mph & 15.5mpg @ 75mph w/ 3.70 gears Open & 7.00x15's.
I'm running an Offenhauser "C", which I Plan on Swapping for a "DP", a 3.23 Gears w/ a TrueTrak & Methynol/Water Injection System I've waiting in the wings.
How do you get that good of mileage? I would be happy to get 17. I have headers and the offy C series and a holley 390, but don't get anywhere near that.
