blowing smoke?
My 02 250 w/5.4 has started to blow smoke on cold start-up have about 63k on it, I have taken it to the dealer and of course I didn't do it. The dealer told me they could not find any thing wrong but my oil wasn't showing up on the dip stick (because it burned it all? you think) not sure what it might be, rings, gasket, crack? Has any one had this issue that could shed some light on the problem? Thanks to all in advance.<O:p

I had a 99 V10 with 75,000 miles and an 03 5.4 with zero miles. Both smoked grey on start up when is was cool outside. I was told by the dealer on the 5.4 that it was a rich fuel mixture and was normal. It did it for 26,000 miles until I traded it for a 7.3.
