adding overdive to a 3 speed.
Hello,
I need advice please. I have a 1959 F100 pickup. I would like to add an overdive to the existing 3 speed. What do I need to know about the tranny I now have to find the correct overdive part?

I'm not 100% certain but I think you'll need a three speed with a different mainshaft. I bought my overdrive with the three speed. There is definitely a difference in the car and truck overdrives. Do a search on overdrive. It was discussed recently.
