Push Rod ?
I have a 1977 302 block and a pair of 1990 E7TE heads that I am putting together for my 302 engine rebuild project and I was wondering what length push rods I should use and how to set the lash. My original heads had rockers that used studs and nuts and the E7TE heads use bolts to secure the rockers. I am using stock hydraulic lifters. Thanks.

You really don't set the lash on pedestal rockers. You bolt them down and check the pattern on the valve tip.Get your heads all set and bolted down. Put the lifers in. Just for grins I'd get a pattern on the pushrod- rockers you have. Take a marker and hit the valve tip. Put the rockers and pushrods in and crank the engine a few times. The valve tip wiped cleanshould be in the center. If it's not get a push rod checker from summiit and go from there.
