Anyone having overheat problems while towing

Just got home yesterday from a 250 mile lake trip with my #5000 TT on a 04' f-250 psd with a hypertech tuner. Barely 25 miles out of town the truck got hot. Blowing coolant everywhere and fan clutch engaging. Mind you, it was 106 degrees and the air conditioner was on max. We pulled over in the next town to top off coolant and I pulled the tuner back to stock settings and had no problems. A very noticable loss of power without the tuner though. Hyertech allows you should be able to pull in any setting, but obviously stage 3 was too hot!

would it help to put an electric fan or 2 in front of the radiator and eiter have it come on with by a thermostat or wired to one of the uplifter switches so you can turn you can turn it on whenever you wanted?
