Some have said they get better fuel economy with their Edge Evolution programmer, I haven’t picked one up myself but I will be soon. I think adding other products like exhaust headers and an air intake kit would do better for mileage then a chip would. It would be nice if Edge could add a program for improved fuel efficiency that would reduce the amount of injected fuel some how. Of course you will loose HP and Torque but if you need to tow or want more power just switch settings.

It wouldn't do better than a chip or tuner, but it would help you achieve more from one. I spoke to my exhaust guy while my buddy was getting an estimate for his Camaro and he said that you can get chips and tuners, but all you're doing is heating the engine up unless you change out the pipes at the headers and work your way back. The exhaust is where most of the restriction is at, once you open up the exhaust, you'll notice more benefits from performance parts. You'll also notice more power and better mileage stock. But until have your headers and/or pipes changed out, tuners and chips are (for the most part) a waste of money.
I just installed the Edge on Wednesday. I can feel a noticable difference in power, but by no means did it turn it into a speed demon. The tuner is definitely worth it and I would suspect that adding a better exhaust would help some more.
