hydraulic roller cam

Could someone tell me what was the first year Ford put a roller cam in the 5.0 truck engine.I know the 5.0 in the mustang got a roller in 1985.Thanks.

I think it was the same year they went mass air...around '93

94-96 5.0 and 5.8's had roller cams, mass air came along in 95 and 96.

Tech-Man is correct. Also, the 95 Mass-Air vehicles were specifically for CA and were still running on on the OBDI computer, while in 96 they converted almost all over to Mass-Air with the ODBII computer.
