rear sump dipstick
Dose anyone know where I can find a rear sump dipstick? I have looked all over online and tried everywhere I knew to look (wrecking yards, parts stores, eBay, even ford dealership....) right now I have a rear sump pan with a front sump dipstick modified so I can drive it... problem is there is nothing to bolt it to and it keeps getting loose and leaking all over the place, not to mention its so short that it sits between the header tubes and I cant grab it unless the engine is completely cold. I looked through some of the older threads and didn’t see anything on where to get them if there is one and I missed it let me know and ill check it out. Thanks

Start looking in the 460 powered vans. A bud with a 460 powered 4x had a damaged dip tube, found the same pan on the vans. I've been thinking about buying the pan just to install the different dip tube. It has some kind of compression nut on the outside, seals much better.

Would the oil level lines be acurate? all i did with my old short tube dipstick is cut it(cause the dipstick its self was long) and put 4 qts of oil in mark it then put another qt in and mark it again... the rear sumps ARE 5 qrt pans right?
