For anybody who is looking for something to do this weekend ( Apr. 21 - 23 ), Powerama is happening in Edmonton. Check out the website for more complete info. I will be there with the '56 in the "Ford Central" club display. Look for a herd of Mustangs with one truck. Incidently - last year the truck got first place and the Mustangs didn't. Ha hA - The reason being that the competition wasn't quite as tough in the modified truck class. It is a really good show with lots to see and a SUPER swap meet on Saturday. Drop by and if I'm not there, I'll be someplace else- likely out at the "Ford Lounge" Leave a card or whatever and we'll see you later. B
Should have followed and you would have drivin right to the show!! It was another great show. The weather was OK and the everything else was great. Anybody else get there?
Not the Edmonton show, the Calgary show and shine.
At McMan Stadium on the 23rd, perfect day, hot and sunny and no wind.
I went and entered my 74 Crew just to see what it was all about, 3 ford trucks including mine a 74' and 2-79's. One nice frame up F150 4x4 reg cab long box XLT with a 460, 9" and auto (eat off the bottom). Gold in color with matching rims. NICE!
The other was an original owner 79, swb reg cab 2 wheeler XLT Lariet with a 351C , and auto, new black paint, beauty too,
Drank a few beers and hit the road. none of use got any prizes but it was fun, and had a lot of lookers and chats with guys that liked the crew! They thought it was the best bush machine yet with the winch on the back. HAHAHAHAHA
I should add the pictures to my file. The other two guys don't even own a compute r I thought everyone did!
