Absolutley do the downpipe!!!!
You need to let that turbo breath, it is so restricted from the way the factory (modifies) the DP to assemble the truck on the line. Mine response was flat as a 2 year old when pure stock. Added a Git Kit from Banks (best in the business) which gives you 50+ HP chip upgrade and a new 2 piece DP. Have a local mech do the install and it will cost between 6-7 bills, cheap at twice the price.
You'll be driving a hot rod after that!
