Just wondering

what I was wondering: If you have a stock IDI 6.9 and a turbo 6.9 with the same tranny and rear end would the top speed be the same since they are governed at a set rpm on the ip, but the stock IDI would just take longer to get up to speed?

Yes, the speed is not going to change with the turbo, just get there faster.

I can redline my turbo 6.9 in high gear going up a steep hill.
You can not do that with a NA motor.

No, it will not change the governed engine speed.
Just the amount of fuel it delivers at max throttle.
