hey i want to put sawy bars, both front and rear on my 62 f-100. but i am having trouble finding bars for my year...if anyone knows what other years will fit a 62 and where i could these such bars... thanks 62COLE
I know some of the early 70's trucks can be found with bars, but they have of course a different front end than yours. You might look to some 70's 4x4 trucks and adapt the units over to your application.
Close to the original topic here...does a 79 rear sway bar fit onto a 66? (both F100, 2wd)? It would be cheaper than buying a whole new one if it would fit, or would it just require a little "fixing"?

The later 79 bars fit. flip the links inboard in stead of outboard.
Skip has pictures and and an article on sway bars over at slicks for 61 ot 64 trucks.
Remember if swapping later bars to a 65 66 the bracket needs to be inserted with that huge honking center bolt. Most times this bolt will not come out. NPD lists in thier catalouge a new lower mount bracket set so dont waste time trying to get it off the donor.
