Installed chip, need help!!!

Installed TS Performance 2 position chip in '99 ranger 4.0 ecm code ERR0.

WON'T RUN, turns over but, nothing. ECM board is clean where chip plugs in. Any other ideas???

Its driving me NUTS!!!!

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Are you absolutly positive the contacts are clean down to the copper?

Does it run w/o the chip installed?

Yes, to the copper.

Yes, again. Pull the chip, and runs fine.

I've done tons of chips for 7.3's. This is the first gas one i've done and can't figure whats up????

Most likely your Ranger doesn't have the power jumper installed on the computer. Some 1999-2000 vehicles have this problem and the only way to fix it is by soldering the jumper on the computer. Call TS for help on this.
