Please help with trouble code

My 2005 Screw 6.0 just lite up the service engine light and threw out code P0299. What does it mean. Thanks in advance

I just got the codes out of a book. Hopefully, somebody knowledgable about this will be along to assist you soon. It may take a day or two though. If your truck is within warranty, it's probably time for a dealer visit. Call and make sure they have a 6.0 Diesel tech first!

from what i understand the variable turbo will stick in overboost/ underboost if the turbo is actuated very often.corrotion causes the variable part of the turbo to stick.if its under warranty id take it to the dealership.
