Funky idle

94 f-150 302 auto 2wd

I just recently got some uusual idleing whe I start the truck, just happened today.

I start the truck, and while in park, the truck revs up and down very costantly. well its actually that it justs revs down until almost stalling but the egine compensates and brings idle back up..

What should I check first, I am broke as a joke, anything I can do for cheap?

I would assume its related, but used some throttle body cleaner to clean out where the air goes in as it was pretty disgustingly dirty, I also sprayed some down that little hole while i had someone hold RPM (leads to the EGR?) I did all this just a day or two before the idle problem popped up. After the cleaig I noticed the truck drove MUCH better, better throttle response and power.

Once the truck is put into drive, it runs fine, doesnt stall or anything, and when I arrive to where I am going, put it into park, it idles fine. Also seemed to idle fine starting it back up. I guess the idle problem comes and goes.

Any help? I would appreciate any advice.

That hole is the entrance to the ICV(Idle Control Valve). You probably softened up some gunk in it making it sticky. Try pulling it off and cleaning it real good. Also. see if you can pull any codes from the computer.
