New Power Stroke

I am looking at upgrading from my '90 F250 IDI AT to a '97 F 250 Power stroke 5 speed, I little knowledge on the '97 power stroke and am looking for input as far as problem areas or things to look out for?

Also about what would a ’97 XLT 4X4 5SP. SB with 120000miles be worth, the body and interior are immaculate, the truck only has highway miles and still has the original brakes. Always run on synthetic oil.

I always use kelly blue book, price it there. As far as trouble areas the dual mass flywheel is prone to going out, just replace it with a single mass. Also the cam position sensor (cps) will go out at unexpected times, just carry one in the glove box (just in case). You might want to change out those brakes, I can usually get 90-100k out of them.

Well I bought it today, I will go pick it up Friday afternoon! I haven't personally seen this truck for about 4 years but the previous owner a good friend for about 10 years and has always over maintained everything. I bought a CJ7 from him last year after he described it you would have thought it was junk, when I went to pick it up I felt like I owed him more money. So I am not the least bit worried about the condition of the truck. I did however pay $7000 less than my brother in-law paid for an identical truck last month with higher mileage.
P.S. ForemanES I got it wayyyyyy below KBB.

Thats really good to hear. These trucks will last a long time when you maintain them.
