Vibration and rough shifting

I have a 1994 150 w/5.8 auto/od. It has a vibration in drive train [at various speeds] when truck is running down road. Have to let up off gas or hard accelarate to stop. Also hard/rough gear change. Hard all fluid and filter changed...no sign of any problems..but still did not help..Took to Ford Dealer was told Torque Converter going bad...I sure transmission is an "E40D"..any possible suggestions?

It sounds like torque convertor shudder to me. You might be able to patch it with some lucas stop shudder, but the real solution is usually to replace the converter.
