'90 460 no start.

Hey guys I have a '90 F-450 that has been sitting for 2 years. I can't get it to start. I put in a new rail pump as the one that it had was bad. Now I am getting fuel to the injector rail but it won't fire. If you put starting fluid into the throttle body it will start. I have 12V to the injectors any tip's?

TIA

Can you get a fuel pressure gauge on the rail? If you have 35psi there, then we know your fuel situation is good. Are the injectors firing? You can test that with a noid light, too.

The injectors are not firing. I don't have a fuel pressure gauge, But there is a strong spray when you depress the shrader valve.

Also when I put a test light to the injector wires it lights on both wires. Is that correct?

Thanks for the replys

If the injectors are not firing, then you should start there. Check all the grounds, especially the PCM (computer) ground. It also could be the PIP in the distributor. It tells the computer how fast the engine is spinning and when to fire the injectors. No signal from it = no injectors firing.
