99 E4OD slow shifts
My 99 E4OD (w/115K) is starting to have trouble when shifting from park to drive or reverse and vis versa. It seems like you almost have to position the shifter perfectly on the D or R and wait a second or two before it engages. It doesn't have that immediate shift like when you slap the shifter down into drive and feel kick in right away. Fluid levels and temp are all ok. I changed out fluids about 30K ago. It really seems to happen first thing in the morning or when it sits awhile. Any one have any ideas?
I was thinking of throwing some lucas tran treament to see if that helps but it sounds more like a sensor, like the gear position sensor.
I ran the ODBII and did not pull any codes. Hopefully I can catch this while it is a $10 problem and not a $1500 problem.
