88 ford section repaint?

88 ford section repaint?
i have an 1988 ford f150 single cab that has some paint comming off, with blue primer showing.
The whole roof of cab is bad, about half bare metal.
The hood has large spots
Tailgate
Above the tailights
Section on cab right behind the door
I was thinking of just painting the roof and bringing it down to the center where the groove is and the tailgate, but it still leaves the hood.
Right now the color is factory maroon. I have a fiberglass tonneau cover on it also. I am in the process of diamond plating the fenders
I currently dont have an airgun. I plan on stripping the truck down completely, bodywork and repainting the truck next year. I will prolly just use spray paint.
has anyone done something like this, pictures?
