Impact Wrenches

I have 2 air impact wrenches. They are both a 1/2" drive and are both Chicago Pneumatic. One of them is about 30 years old and the other is 2 or 3 years old. It seems like the new one does not have as much power as the old one. Would oiling it really well help? I have 3/4" copper line from the air compressor in the basement all the way out to the garage and then about 25 feet of 3/8" hose in the garage. The air pressure is set to around 125psi. It just doesn't seem like they have the grunt that they should. Even taking off lug nuts takes a few seconds for them to break loose. Should I upgrade that 25ft of hose to 1/2"? I wouldn't think that would make that big of a difference. Thanks guys.

Might want to put a regulator or pressure gauge on the outlet in the garage to see what if any pressure drop you have by the time the air makes it all the way out there.

I have a pressure regulator out in the garage and there is 125psi out in the garage. There really isn't much of a pressure drop with smaller hose, more of a CFM loss, but the 3/4" copper should take care of that. I am wondering if its the tool or the 3/8" hose that is causing the problem. Thanks for the suggestions.
