I just posted the below to the long thread about tachs. Anyhow, I'd like to put one in my 67 F-100, 352, 4spd. I like the look of the old style tachs that mount to the steering column. Anyhow, any recommendations? Thanks.

I have a Ford magazine from 1966 entitled, "Ford High Performance, a guide to its fundamentals and performance products offered by Ford." It lists a number of tachs. I don't know if these are the ones that StockMan referred to. e.g. a 4" face 6K shows a part number of C6AZ-17A326-A with a price of $43.10 (wish that had held steady). The mag indicates that possession of one of these tachs "...makes driving more economical and exhilirating."

Good luck finding those Cobra tachs, I've got one on my Falcon.
The dealer had a number of tachs back then, was gonna scan some images but ran out of time.
I run a Sun Mini Super Tach II on the column of my truck, it's small and out of the way plus the dial and pointer colors match the truck's instruments nicely.
