trying to get this slick back togeather so here is the question.
on the inside of the truck i have a green bulb with the chrome around it with black rubber washer, so if i remember right it the blinker marker. the only thing i have found not used under the dash is one bulb. what hold it in place i can't remember. did i loose a nut? need some help
Have a 65 F100 4X2 and rewired entire truck. Item described does not sound familiar. Does the light in question do anything on high beam, or when you move the turn signal lever. Also, some came with the the 'emergency warning indicator light that sets in a unit that attaches to the bottom of the dash. Is there a wire color code, have the 65/66 wiring manual showing emergency warning indicator wire is blu with white tracer. Not certain about the 4X4, perhaps more knowledgeable member can advise if there is any type indicator light regarding transfer case, or something simular. **May need to gound the socket to see if it does anything. Ground wire w/ aligator clips come in handy.

it's not the emergency light (i have it to) its the one with the green light works when the turn signal is on. It fits in the dash alright but i know something hold's it in place trying to figure what that something is?
If you have a sweeping speedometer there is one light indicator for both the right and left turn signal. If that is the case then the socket should back of instrument cluster top center.
regular speedo, its below it in the dash beside the choke. After looking at it, it lights up when the head lights are on, i have only seen this light on 4x4 pictures. i hate riging it up to stay in place but if i can't find and anwser here , i may not find one.
It sounds like another one of the lamps used for illuminating the cluster when headlights or parking lights are on but that the incorrect lamp is installed. If it only comes on when headlamps are on (not on/off with high beams) then the wire is for dash illumination and the green bulb doesn't belong (unless you want a green glow to the dash lights)
