Hello all, I picked up a 2003 Eddie Bauer Expedition on Thursday. The dealer had to put in a new window regulator in the driver side window but they forgot to reprogram the one-touch operation. Can any one help?<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comfficeffice" /><o></o>
You should take the truck back to them and have them fix the problem. I don't know much about the one touch down on these trucks, but that should be working after they put in a new window regulator.
the one touch is not a program. it is part of the switch. my guess is the switch is just broken. when you push the switch all the way down it holds the contacts together and brings the window down when the current flow reaches a point the contacts spring apart and the window stops.
Are you sure its not programed? on my 95 lincoln mark VIII you turn it on and off by using the key pad on the door. If it has the key pad then it might be the same.
This might be a dumb reply, but, did you try pushing hard on the switch? Mine has a detent built in, meaning if you push normal on the switch the window will stop when released. If you push harder the switch will click past the detent and the window will go down on its own.
Unfortunately, I think that you are going to have to take the truck back to the dealer. The 1 touch worked before they worked on the truck and now it doesn't work. That is Ford's problem and they should remedy the situation for you.

Are you talking about programming the 1 setting versus the 2 setting or making the window go down all the way with just touching the window button. If it's the window down problem, it's like "yardbird" said. Push the switch all the way down and you will feel the detent and hear a click (good ears). The window should go down all the way. If you are just touching the button it will stop when you release it.
Sounds stupid right? The switch that was in there did not do that. I thought it was odd; also the illumination in 3 of the switches was not working. I found out that the dealer had to replace the window regulator in the driver’s side door because it was sticking (before they could sell it to me). So my thinking was all the abuse going up and down trying to get the window up damaged the switch. You could feel the second setting on the switch but it did nothing. So like I said I got a replacement switch assembly. Works like a charm now.
Cheers
The key pad in the door?? I don't have any codes for that, the dealer wants $90 to pull it from the computer. I also need to order a manual.
The system code for the keypad is on the RAP module. On my 03 EB it's a five digit code that is printed on the label affixed to the RAP module. The module is located under the dash on the passenger side. Locate the fuse panel, and it's a few inches above and towards the firewall. If I remember correctly, mine had some labels indicate 'Bosch' and some FCC codes as well. Save the money if you can.
