overdrive
I have a 81 ford f-100. i'm replacing the engine in it and have come across a frod car with the same size engine. it also has overdrive with it. how hard would it be to place this transmission to my truck.

my 83 f-100 has an aod overdrive factory installed. The only thing may be you will have to 'correct' your shift
column to read 'O' (for overdrive),'D' for drive and '1' for first. Sorry, no second gear only on an AOD, unless
you get a shift kit with an electric overdrive switch. Make sure the car (probably a mustang) that is donating
the trans. is an AOD, and not an E4OD, which is the electronic shift model.
