I've been looking through the forums and it looks great. I'll try to search the archives before I repeat questions. Think I'll head over and buy a membership as well.
I found a great deal on an almost immaculate 1992 Aerostar (160,000 KM)yesterday and had to nab it. As the story unfolded the van was purchased brand new by an old-timer who ran it to 100,000 Km. He archived it in his garage for 3 years then sold it to a whiz kid mechanic who went over it head to toe and fixed any little thing (and big thing) that bugged him. Well, whiz kid mechanic got a job in the oil fields, struck it rich and bought a brand new D-O-D-G-E truck fully loaded. I got the Aerostar at a pretty fair price with 8 rims and 8 tires, new class two hitch, 12disc CD changer.
It's looking like this second Ford will be a pleasant experience. My first ford was a 1970 Maurader with a 390. I was a mere 16 year old and naive as heck. Needless to say that Maurader drained my pocket fast, and worried my parents sick.
I was shopping for a 2001 to 2003 Windstar last week but stumbled into this nice Aerostar. I'll see how it goes. I hope the repairs aren't too difficult or costly over the next 60,000 KM. I'll be using it mostly for cargo and pulling a light utility trailer.
I'll be looking foreward to reading posts and taking advice.

The guys in the Aerostar forum here are all really good and have tons of info on their vans. Feel free to ask or answer any questions that come up in there.
You might also want to check out the provincial chapters. In your profile it doesn;t say where you're from but we've got chapters for most provinces in Canada. They are closer to the bottom of the main forum page.
Have fun
