Water in Fuel: Message
05 6.0 Water in Fuel Message. Looked for Drain on side of Lower Fuel Filter, None found. Looked in book and it says there should be on but there is none!! Got to looking on my 06 none there either!! What to do?

under the driver side of the truck by the frame there is a plug on the side of the filter housing it is small it takes a allen head wrench, screw it out and you will get about a cup or 2 of fuel and any water that might be in your system

Also, if you still have a quite a bit of fuel left in your tank, you can expect to get some more fuel out of the drain. Make sure you're using a container big enough to catch more fuel if need be.

Thanks; I figured the Cap was going to be it. I don't think it actually has water in the fuel. My empolyee that drives the truck buys fuel the same place I do and I have never, over 12 years of buying fuel there, ever gotten water in any of the Diesels I've had. The light has been comming on for several months!! I'll drain it anyway!!
