I ordered my new 250 5.4 gasser 4weeks ago and just in time got the last one off the assembly line for 06. I was just wonderin is there a big difference in power from the old 5.4 to the new 3valve. Also i cant seem to find any kind of performance products for the 06 5.4. Also what kind of exhaust sounds good with the new 3v engines i want a deep throaty sound. I hope this thing is all that im expecting it to be. Talk to you all later to let ya know what i think about it. Peace out.

5.4L 2v
HP = 260 @ 4500
Torque = 350 @ 2500
5.4L 3v
HP = 300 @ 5,000
Torque = 365 @ 3,750
IMO...No not a "big" difference in power between the 2v and 3v...especially since the 3v requires the RPM's be higher for that extra power to be felt. Both are good engines...reliable...and just like to be driven.
The flowmaster line might be what you are after. The FM50 will give you the sound you are after.
Also, the MagnaFlow has a good sound too. Want to here how it will sound? (5.4L 3v...in a F150...but same engine) Here is a link: http://www.magnaflow.com/04sound/04trucks.asp
