Emission Light On

Every since I remove and re-installed my gas tank, my emission light has been on. I'm no authority on the matter, but I don't see the relation. Can anyone tell me what will cause the light to come on.

Thanks
Charles

I believe it is just a reminder to check your smog equipment to ensure it is okay. It is not attached to any sensors. I had a smog pump seize, but the light never came on. I can't remember if it shuts off on it own, or if you have to reset it. I am sure someone else here knows.

You have to reset it. The light by design is supposed to light every 60,000 miles or around there.

I'm not sure how you reset the light however. Perhaps do a search on the forum for your problem?

if i rember its a little brown box that controls it, you have to get under the dash and theres a little spot where you push like a pin or a pen in to reset it
