i got a couple of questions im hoping i can find answers to i have searched but really cant find the info i need
i got a 92 nite with a 302
i bought some gauges oil/water/amp set.
i got the oil gauge figured out
i cannot figure out where the water gauge sending unit goes i found one spot near the thermostat cover but when i hooked it up there just caused problems and cel was on so i need to find the real place to put the water sending unit
and to the amp gauge i have it hooked it to the thick green wire near the starter solanoid and gauge always shows a charge i thought the gauge
would ride near zero but its reading like 60 amps for 1st couple mins the comes to 30 amps and stays there, sound like i have it hooked up right?
The water temp sending unit is a single wire sensor on the front left of the intake manifold. The one on the thermostat housing is the ECT(Engine Coolant Temp)sensor.
Chill out Nite. Loosmaster told you your problem. Theres 2 different sensors. One is a single wire sensor which is for your gauge, and the other is a 3 wire sensor for the computer. Consider his post before you keep begging everyone.
