Any advice on how to fix a squealing serpentine belt. I replaced it a little over a year ago after getting fed up with the noise and the fact that it started slipping. The new one has since started squealing. It's exceptionally bad after raining or generally damp/humid day.
I am at my wits end with this. A noisy belt is just plain annoying.
I figure I'll replace the belt, but clean the pulleys real well before I install it.
How and what should I clean them with?
If that doesn't work, what else could my problem be? Does the tensioner spring that pulls all the works tight together need replacing?
