Why does my truck startto have popping sound, almost like backfiring, when I let off the gas, as the truck start to decelerate, before I down shift? I haven't done a tune up on it yet, just changed the plugs. Thing fires right up, but I guess it time to get to those points, and idle adj.
Any comment welcome.
uswebers NOT A DUMB QUESTION ! the dumb questions are the one that never get asked!
A leak in the exhaust system near the engine,
An air or vacuum leak near or in the intake manifold or carbutetor,
A leaky vacuum line, or vacuum device, like a heater blend door or a timing advance
Weak valves or springs,
Having the timimg not set quite correctly. . . .
these are sort of a prioritized order by commonality. . . .
