Have you looked at Crutchfield.com? Even though their prices are slightly higher, they're usually dead-on when it comes to fitment, adapter plates, etc.
I know 5x7 will fit and I think all Ford truck/Excursions have the same 5x7 stock speaker (4 or 6) I dont know for sure if a 6x8 will fit - according to Crutchfield they will in the rear door, which doesnt make sense. I would check with a local shop to be sure - unless somebody here knows for sure. Crutchfields recommendations are not very good. I bought Infinity Kappa's for mine and the box said 5x7 / 6x8. Anyway I installed them and put Dynamat in the doors, what a BIG difference Dynamat makes as far as reducing interior noise.
