lightning questions

What was the first year for the lightning? And what was the power difference from a std. f150 with a 351, if any?

93 was the first year. 93-95 Lightnings have 240 hp, 380 tq. I think a std 351 has 210 hp.

I think the first generation Lightning was rated at 240 or 250, however I bet it has more than that, because it is much faster and has much more punch than a regular F150 with a 5.0 or 5.8 from that era. The stock 351 trucks had just over 200. They aren't as quick as the new ones, but with a few mods could easily approach 350-400 hp. Are you thinking about getting one? If so, I would go for it. I would really like to have one myself.
